How to Support C(3)PO, Creating Conscious Communities with People Outside
Updated October 2020 with Fall and Winter needs.
Creating Conscious Communities with People Outside, C(3)PO, is a public health mitigation response to the Covid-19 pandemic. 3 outdoor tent villages were opened for houseless folks, prioritizing BIPOC, trans, gender-nonconforming, and queer people, disabled people, and people over 50 years old. This is a project organized by different grassroots organizations with support from the City and the Joint Office on Homelessness Services. Each village has around 35 tents and allows people to physically distance themselves with access to hand washing, toilets and trash services, showers, nutritious meals, facilitated access to mental and physical health services, and community support if they want it.
