OR State Leather Contest: CHILI COOKOFF
OSLC is hosting a Chili Cookoff fundraiser Saturday, Feb. 22nd from 4pm to 7pm at The Marie Equi Center. Proceeds will go toward the 2025 OSLC Contest event. $15 at the door or $10 for cookoff participants. For more information, please check out @oslcontest 's page!
How to enter: Cook up your best batch of chili and bring it with you! Make sure you have a way to keep it warm during the event; Crock-Pots or something similar are best. Please provide a list of ingredients and an estimated level of spiciness for our community members who may have allergies (or who may or may not want to melt their faces off). We’re offering small tasting cups for the judging and small bowls for the more avid fans.
Judging: Each entry will have a spot to place vote tokens. The entry with the most tokens at the end of the evening wins. Everyone gets a token at the door to mark their favorite and more will be available for purchase at $1 each or 12 for $10.
Prizes: The top three entries will receive {trophy/ribbon/recognition TBD} and our heartfelt thanks for helping us make the 2025 Oregon State Leather Contest the event that our community deserves.
We will be providing “all the fixins” for your chili – cheese, sour cream, corn bread from Knead To Know, and more – as well as a small selection of nonalcoholic drinks. Bring your favorite chili, community spirit, and most of all your whole self! This is an evening for showing your Leather pride and enjoying the company of your Leather siblings, niblings, friends, and family.
If you are able to volunteer to assist with this event, please contact us at president@oslcontest.org
Leather events like this one depend on the support and service of community members like you. We’re at our best when we stand together!

CLOSED | Winter Break
We will be closed on December 23rd until January 1st, with operations restarting on January 2nd.

It’s BATTER For You: Free Waffle Breakfast! (Copy)
Hello everyone! Don't forget about "It's 'BATTER' for you: FREE Waffle Breakfast" every Friday from 10AM until 2PM. The waffles will be available all day. This is a regular event and we will be announcing the cadence and frequency of this event soon!
All that said, we’d also like to reiterate our commitment to public health safety and protecting the most vulnerable in our community. Even though this event is outdoors, we ask that everyone continue wearing masks during this in-person event. We will be providing a variety of masks for folks to use as well.
Queer Peer Meetup
This meet-up is specific to peer workers (THWs, CHWs, CRMs, PWS, PSS...etc) who are LGBTQAI2S+ identified or work directly with LGBTQAI2S+ people and will combine peer learning, anonymous case conferencing, and network building. This virtual space will be facilitated by Equi's Program Director, Madeline Adams (she/they). Working with LGBTQAI2S+ folks comes with its unique challenges and strategies, especially when you share that identity with the people you are serving. This space will be a place to commiserate, strategize, jointly address barriers and challenges, learn from each other, build stronger referral networks, and support each other in our work.
